•Never accept referrals fees or commissions or pay them either. Any fees offered by a vendor to us will be unconditionally offered to the client with the vendor’s consent so our clients may receive the highest value of products or services for their investment.

•To remain honest and fair in all our dealings with our clients and our vendors.  Trust, confidence and respect must be earned and we will always strive for this in all our endeavors.

•Only work one wedding in a single weekend so that our clients receive no less than 110% of our undivided attention. 

•Remain calm and quietly resolve any unforeseen difficulties.

•Be approachable, friendly, and respectful to our clients and our vendors. It is much easier and certainly more pleasurable to plan a wedding when everyone involved has a positive attitude.

•Treat all client concerns with the proper attention they are due. Our clients have entrusted us to help them plan the most important day in their lives together and they deserve our care in addressing those concerns. 

•Approach each event from a business angle, but also ensure that each event is creative& personalized to reflect the client’s style with STYLE!!

•Offer creativity, advice, and ideas in an unbiased manner.

•Remain available through phone calls and emails throughout the planning and celebration of the event.

•Provide updates to the bride and groom as needed.

•Maintain a professional appearance at weddings, events, and meetings.

Code of Ethics

•I will provide only the most professional services to the consumer; maintain up-to-date legal and business permits, licenses, appropriate insurance and contracts.

•I will assist my fellow event professionals with my client's weddings/events so that all are working to produce the wedding/event perfectly and are able to do so as a cohesive and energetic team while maintaining respectful and responsible relationships with one another whether are not they are JWI members.

•I will always work honestly with the consumer and others in the industry remain knowledgeable about the most current and professional techniques specific to my profession and the wedding industry in general.

•I will conduct myself as a leader in the industry.

•I will provide contracts or other appropriate written commitments to my clients.

•I will fully perform my contractual commitments with absolute excellence.

•I will provide services to my clients in a timely and professional manner.

•I will conduct business in a professional manner and will at no time knowingly indulge in any practice, action or method that could reflect negatively upon JWI or its membership.

•I will accept the right of a client to forward any complaint against a member in writing to the JWI Chapter President.  Any such complaint and its adjudication may be brought before the JWI Advisory Board for review and final arbitration.

•I shall at all times maintain the confidentiality of information either entrusted to me by a client, or obtained in pursuance of their work except on the order of a court of law or other appropriate authority.

•I will deal with employees in a fair, unbiased manner and will endeavor to ensure their safety and that of the general public at all times.
