Find the Wedding Concierge on Facebook

Monday, May 26th, 2008
Hello there and hope you are enjoying the long weekend? I
It is definitely the best season of the year…”It’s WEDDING SEASON” but it is certainly keeping me busy and have had less time to visit and post here online.
Oddly enough, I did not have a wedding to coordinate this long weekend so I am enjoying the time with my husband, catching up on seeing some movies (LOVED the new Indiana Jones Movie!) and now getting to catch up here online on my blog & those of my friends. Speaking of which…
A lot of my friends have been after me to join Face Book.
I finally signed up and I love it! I have to say I am probably more apt to use this social networking site than My Space because this site seems to be similar in certain ways to the business networking site, Linkedin.
I like that it is easy to read everyones’ profiles without all those crazy backgrounds and fairly easy to add applications and groups and friends.
I still have a My Space site, but I rarely check it but I will be checking in to my FaceBook site often to keep in touch with my family and friends in Hamilton & Toronto, Canada, here in Las Vegas and all over the USA and beyond.
This is more of my personal networking site (even though there is a bit of wedding related stuff on there too because it is “who I am”-I even found a Wedding Group to join). But, I get to have fun over there and take part in all those silly “what kind of ice cream flavor are you?” style applications and post them online. By the way, it’s “Espresso”!
Have a safe & Happy Memorial Day Everyone and G-d Bless the Troops!!

Wedding Concierge Blog Contest-3G iPod Nano & iTunes Gift Card!

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008
I am so happy about the news of my friends and wonderful couple Kaylynn & Bill, who were married at Wynn Las Vegas last September, being featured on Wedding Podcast Network’s “Newlywedcast” program I am going all out for one of my most exciting blog giveaway contests yet!

The Big Prize is….

A 3rd Generation iPod NANO (8GB) & a $15 iTunes Card !!
(Note: This is an Apple Certified Refurbished 3G Nano purchased directly from Apple.com valued by Apple at $149.00 plus the iTunes Card for a TOTAL GIFT VALUE OF $164.00!!)

The 3G iPod Nano is so cool because you can fit the best of everything iTunes offers (music, podcasts, movies, music videos, tv shows and photos) all in one small and stylish little package!
The $15 iTunes Card is a special little bonus so you can download some of those favorite romantic songs you are thinking about for your first dance, a cool new video or movie or the latest tracks of your favorite musicians and maybe future American Idol (go David Cook!!)
Of course you will be able to listen to the “Newlywedcast” with Kaylynn and Bill as well as all of the great “Wedding Talk Radio” programs on the Wedding Podcast Network including interviews with industry trendsetters like Mindy Weiss and David Tutera on “Meet the Masters”.

And because this is a Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge special gift, it just had to be BLUE of course! It may not be exactly my signature blue, but it is very close!

  • This contest is open to ALL BRIDES who are residents in the United States (including Hawaii & Alaska) and Canada only who are planning a wedding between June 2008 and June 2009! Your wedding can be anywhere but you must live in the USA or Canada.
  • The contest is open until 11:59 PM on June 30th, 2008.
  • To be eligible, you must respond to this post preferably (or email me at Tracey@LVWeddingConcierge.com with the subject line “Blog Contest”) with your name, your wedding date, city, state/province (if Canada) where you live and where you will be getting married.

However, if you take the time to answer the question below, you will be awarded TWO entries for a double chance of winning. Since this is a pretty big contest the question (& hopefully your answers) is a bit more detailed. Here it is…
“How are you and your fiance taking advantage of new technology trends in planning your wedding or destination wedding and how do you think it will benefit your planning experience and wedding experience for you and your guests?”
The lucky winner of the draw will be announced on July 1, 2008 and your very own uber-stylish iPod Nano will be delivered to you by a friendly (I hope) courier direct to your front door (no P.0. box addresses please!). Delivery arrangements will be made privately by email with the winner.
I look forward to hearing from you and reading your replies. I always learn so many interesting things from the answers you post here to my blog contest questions & I am sure this time will be really fun for me and everyone who stops in to read.

Congratulations Jenna & Henry!!

Jenna was a beautiful Texas bride in a stunning, embroidered Oscar de la Renta V-Neck gown.

I just loved the intimate family setting at the Prarie Chapel Ranch for Jenna Bush and Henry Hager’s May 10th wedding in Crawford, Texas, home of what is known as the Bush’s “Western White House”.

The 200 person wedding had it’s formalities and traditions but was definately infused with much of the young couple’s personal style and wish to keep the affair intimate with only family and very close friends of the couple. It definately was inspired by the brides’ deep love for her home state of Texas; a love she shares with her father.

The Texas limestone cross and alter was commissioned personally by Father of the Bride, President George W. Bush on the occassion of his daughter’s wedding. I think the white floral arrangements that frame the cross on the alter are understanded yet so elegant with white roses and lush greenery in intricately painted ceramic urns but it also has a comforting, home like essence.

The young women who made up the Bride’s “House Party” (instead of bridesmaids) as it is known in Texas wore knee length gowns designed by Texas native Lela Rose in colors inspired by the palette of Texas wildflowers and the new bride changed into a fun, swingy dress to dance the night away in, also by Lela Rose.

According to the Houston Chronicle, “The evening included a seated dinner in an understated but beautifully decorated party tent not far from the ranch house. Mint-hued linens covered tables that were centered with bouquets of white flowers accented with purple blossoms.

Houston caterer Jackson Hicks and his team provided the three-course meal — a crabmeat tower appetizer, a steak and potatoes main course and wedding cake for dessert. The cake was not the soaring extravaganza typical of White House weddings; it was a simple but lovely confection”.

The happy couple danced until 3:00 am with their guests who declared the wedding a “truly just gorgeous and tasteful” event.

Brides.com and the White House Website have official released photos of the wedding as do the sites below with some more details.
Here is wishing all the best to the new Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hager for a long, happy and healthy future together filled with much love!

Las Vegas Wedding Concierge’s Couple featured on Wedding Podcast Network!

Bill and Kaylynn celebrated their fabulous Las Vegas Wedding in Style last September, 2007 at the fabulous Wynn, Las Vegas Resort and you can read my “diary” entry right from last September here.

It was such a beautiful, fun and warm celebration with their friends and family that was a true reflection of Bill and Kaylynn. It was such a pleasure knowing them and helping them create this special day. We became quite close (as often happens) and remain friends to this day.

So I was especially excited when a series of events led to Bill and Kaylynn being selected (and they accepted) to appear as featured newlyweds to share their wedding story on the “NewlywedCast Show on the Wedding Podcast Network, the #1 place on the internet for couples to be to listen to “Wedding Talk Radio” on their computers or download to their MP3 players or iPods.

The “NewlywedCast” show is the top rated show on the network where “Real Newlyweds” offer “Real Advice”.

This particular show will be a special “enhanced” podcast complete with personal pictures that Bill and Kaylynn have shared of themselves from their engagement and the wedding as well as the stunning professional wedding images by my friend, the very talented Ashley Bartoletti. The interview has so much more impact as you see and hear their story and learn all about their wedding story. I am happy to say they gave me a very nice “shout out”. Thanks B & K!

You can listen to Bill and Kaylynn right here from the syndicated Wedding Podcast Network content on the right side of my blog and read more on a special page of the Wedding Podcast Network.com that will have a summary of their interview and links to the Wynn, their “Las Vegas Wedding Concierge” and some of the other wedding resources and professionals (like Andrea Trubiro of LT Eventions who created the beautiful room) that are mentioned during the podcast.

And don’t worry if you can’t listen to it right away as the WPN maintains archived shows for at least a year and so does iTunes!

I hope you all enjoy the show and speaking of iTunes & iPods, I am having a VERY SPECIAL blog contest to celebrate the premiere of this “NewlywedCast” show. It is my MOST EXCITING ONE YET! You don’t want to miss entering this contest, I promise!

Thank you again to Bill & Kaylynn for being so gracious in sharing your beautiful story. It was like re-living that very special day with you all over again. I am sure your family and friends are going to enjoy this with you as well!

Have a Stylish Day!

Wedding Concierge is on the Road May 3-11!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

Dear Diary Readers…

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge will be out of the office from May 3 through 11th for a little V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N. in even sunnier and even hotter Palm Springs, CA.

I will be back in Las Vegas on May 12.

I have a busy summer ahead and Mike just finished tax season (even accountants need holidays!) so we figured it would be a good time to take a few days and get out of town.

I will be checking in occassionally for email and I hope to stop in and share some news that should be happening this coming week that I am so excited about; I know I won’t be able to wait until I get home to share it with you!

Feel free to leave me a message here if you like. If you are looking for information or to contact me regarding my wedding services, you may visit my website at LVWeddingConcierge.com or email me at info@LVWeddingConcierge.com. My office is closed while I am out of town but I will do my best to get back to you in 48-72 hours.

Thank you, see you next week and have a Stylish weekend.
