Wedding Concierge Featured on Wedding Podcast Network-"Meet the Masters" series from NACE "Experience 2008".

Tracey Kumer-Moore, JWIC of Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is excited and honored to be included as one of the featured interviews from the NACE “Experience 2008″ “Meet the Masters” series of wedding podcasts from the Wedding Podcast Network.


The NACE (National Association of Catering Excutives held their annual educational conference in Philadelphia, PA this past August called “Experience 2008: The Future of Catering and Event Design”.

The conference showcased the best, most talented caterers, chefs, designers and planners in the business including celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss, the coolest and newest trends in food and decor and a lot of the exciting new ideas you will soon be seeing in magazines and on tabletops in 2009.

The Wedding Podcast Network travelled to Philadelphia to cover this event to bring all of the exciting ideas, trends and passion for the industry from the attendees (that would be all those fabulous catering managers, wedding planners, DJ’s, event designers, etc. that you are hiring) to you directly to hear to draw inspiration from. This is why I love the “WPN” not only as a benefit to brides but for my own professional education as well!

This special podcast included interviews with Keynote Speaker Walter Scheib; former White House Chef to the Clintons & President George W. Bush, former National NACE president Chef Jerry Edwards,CPCE, The Glazier Group Director of Catering Cheryl Kahn Brocco (The Glazier Group owns Michael Jordon’s Steakhouse, “Strip House” Steakhouse which has a Vegas location at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino). Also interviewed are my good friends and fellow Las Vegas NACE members Jodi & Patrick Harris of Sight and Sound Events and my good friend Andy Ebon from the Wedding Marketing Network Blog was also mentioned.

I think you are going to get a lot of great wedding planning information from this podcast so make sure to listen to it on your computer or download it onto your iPod or MP3 player.

Wedding Concierge Closed 9/30-10/1 for Jewish Holidays-Happy Jewish New Year.

HAPPY JEWISH NEW YEAR 5769!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge will be closed on September 30 and October 1 in observance of the Jewish Holiday of Rosh Hashana (the Jewish New Year).

I will be back in the office on Thursday October 2, 2008.

Feel free to leave a message or an email however I will not be returning any emails or voicemail until the 2nd.

Rosh Hashana is the world’s birthday (it is 5769 years old) and this time of year is a time to reflect on the year past and hope that the year ahead brings our world, our families, friends and to us one that is sweet and filled with joy, good health, good luck, love, prosperity and most of all, peace.

I wish all of my family and friends, clients and colleagues who are celebrating the Jewish New Year my very best for a happy, healthy and sweet “Shana Tova” (“Happy New Year”).

Sex and the City DVD Release Today!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is so excited that the Sex and the City ladies are back and better than ever. The DVD of the movie is available today in a 2 Disc Special Edition.


I went out and got my copy today and the cool thing is this version has an extended cut of the movie and a digital version you can put on your iPod or portable music/video player. Sweet! Of course there are some special features including interviews with Sarah Jessica Parker and show creator Michael Patrick King, “behind the scenes” and more good stuff…

More Carrie, more Samantha, Charlotte & Miranda and of course…more “BIG”!

And of course, I now get to enjoy that fabulous couture wedding gown montage any time I want

So I’ll be mixing something yummy, wet and sweet later this evening while I kick back to enjoy a night with “the girls” while I toast all the special “girls” in my life and my very own “BIG”.

I am one very lucky lady.

A ROCKIN’ Groom’s Cake!

Who says you can’t rock out in STYLE at your wedding?

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge absolutely believes you can and I had to share this AWESOME AC/DC themed groom’s cake that anchors a sinful sweet table I found in Sasha Souza’s party portfolio on her Facebook profile. If I happen to wind up going down that “Highway to Hell”, I hope I get to stop and enjoy this cake and this sweet table on the way down!

I wish I knew who created this cake. It is just fantastic! Then again, I LOVE AC/DC. I would really love to see the images from this wedding. I bet it was a great event both visually and fun for everyone with a couple who would think of a cake like this.

And in the words of that infamous band “For Those About to ROCK (and Wed) I Salute You!”

The Wedding Concierge Gets (iPod) TOUCHed & LOVES IT!

It’s a happy, happy day! I got my brand, spanking new Apple 2G iPod Touch yesterday!

It is so very cool and although I can’t believe I was able to hold out this long (I’m a technology junkie to the core), I am glad I did to get the better goods on the new version.

The iPod Touch is pure eye candy but one heck of a cool gadget and I’m having a blast learning this thing and loading all my music, Wedding Podcast Network episodes & video podcasts, movies, wedding photos, apps and games; Facebook, LinkedIn, Pandora Radio, and the “important stuff” like Vegas Casino Games (see picture above). So yes, Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge likes to have some have some fun too. I can’t wait to load the Sex and the City Movie on there next week (coming out on DVD 9.23)!

However, it is a great way to show clients and prospective clients beautiful wedding slideshows, videos, research on YouTube (yes, it’s a great source of wedding inspiration), and more.

And yes, I am sure you will find me, white earphones and all, enjoying the heck out of it for a long time to come.

Now, when is that new smartphone coming out?

Wedding Seating Charts Get Creative in Replacing "the place card".

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is loving wedding seating charts these days!

I find myself scouring the internet for all kinds of examples but there are just so many kinds; from elegant to funky, ecru to the wildest colors and beyond, simple table plan to including wedding party, the reception menu, quotes and beyond.

One of my favorite sites I have found with some really pretty & creative ones is my new friend in Detroit, Tiffany Wunschl of Gourmet Invitations. All the work on her beautiful invitations and paper products are of great and unique quality and I love how she incorporates all the pieces such as the seating chart together. Check out her gallery on her website.

There are many advantages to using a seating chart over place cards even though you still do have to do your home work to create the initial seating plan.

1. Eliminate the tedious and painstaking and time consuming job of writing everyone’s name on little 3×5 cards.
2. Save some “green” by not having to buy special place card holders.
3. Go “green” and again, save some green by incorporating your reception menu into the seating chart instead of creating menus for every place setting.
4. Your custom seating chart, can be custom framed and be a wonderful memento of your wedding as most are created in sizes at least 16″x20″ and will stay in perfect shape all night long (unlike place cards).
5. You may save money on linen & additional floral & decor by not having to decorate a place card table.
6. You can get much more creative with your design, your font, colors as well as opting for a photo chart, interesting backgrounds etc. that you couldn’t dream of with place cards.
7. Generally, seating charts are easier for guests to see as well. Instead of squinting and bending to locate their card, guests can comfortably find their name.

Another company I have enjoyed working with is Documents and Designs who also create very stylish wedding seating charts as well in addition to other wedding ceremony & reception stationery items (programs, place cards, table holders, etc.). They have some very elegant designs, monogram styles, flourishes, florals and more and you can customize anything you can dream up as well.

The Wedding of Stacey & Aaron-8.23.08-Wynn, Las Vegas

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge had the distinct pleasure of planning the beautiful August 23rd, 2008 wedding of Stacey & Aaron at the fabulous Wynn,Las Vegas Resort and Casino; one of my favorite hotels and venues in Las Vegas to work with.

Stacey and Aaron are fellow Canadians (they live in Calgary, Alberta) so it was especially fun for this Canadian transplant (from Hamilton) to be a part of their wedding.

Stacey & Aaron were married in an incredibly romantic candlelight ceremony in the Wynn Wedding Salons’ Primrose Courtyard and then hosted a stylish night-club style reception, inspired by their love of ultra-cool PURE Night Club

Stacey and Aaron have incredible taste and Stacey’s attention to detail and their vision resulted in a beautiful and fun celebration in one of the Wynn’s elegant ballrooms that went practically all night long to 2:30 AM! My fellow Canadians DO KNOW HOW TO PARTY!
