Good Words

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011

As 2011 winds down, I recall all the words I had to learn this year. So many of them were not by choice and they weren’t good words either. They were sad, scary and frightening words. I battled hard against a lot of these words from January to December and I will probably be battling many of them for my whole life.

As this year draws to a close, I’m going to do my best to only think of GOOD WORDS. Words that uplift, motivate, comfort, nurture, inspire and heal so that they keep the other words far at bay. A whole new dictionary being created for a new year, a new life, a new beginning in a new “familiar” place.

I will start with the words of an inspirational Canadian leader who lost his own battle to cancer this year. The following words summarize his final letter to his fellow Canadian citizens just days before his death.

THESE are GOOD WORDS!!

“My friends, LOVE is better than anger. HOPE is better than fear. OPTIMISM is better than despair. So let us be LOVING, HOPEFUL and OPTIMISTIC and we’ll change the world”.

Former Canadian New Democrat Party Leader, Jack Layton (1950-2011)

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 from Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge!

Here is a toast (helped out by the fabulous image of past clients Stacey & Aaron on their wedding day), to wish you all a fabulous year to come. And, to my 2011 brides and grooms, the fun is only going to get more “funner” !

I’m also toasting to the unwrapping of the new, improved “Diary of a Las Vegas Wedding Concierge : The Blog Celebrating Love, Life, Style!”

It’s so darn pretty and I can’t wait to unveil the website which is, I promise, not a figment of my imagination. It really is coming.

The new look, feel and content of “Diary of a Las Vegas Wedding Concierge” blog will reflect my philosophy that all the moments, people and things in our lives that matter most should be created or embraced and celebrated with LOVE, LIFE & STYLE!

I will shine a light on weddings of course, but I will also talk about other things to celebrate in life. What I love about being a Las Vegas Wedding Planner and those I work with, issues I am passionate about (related to weddings, the business of weddings and more) and it would be my greatest joy that you connect or learn (or both) with something I share here.

I believe one of the greatest responsibilities and pleasures I have as a Wedding Planner is to educate and guide my clients to their ultimate destination of a memorable, happy day that is only the beginning of their journey. I would like to think of my blog in the same way; an education and a guide on your way to your wedding celebration of love and beyond into celebrating your lives together . . . with STYLE!

There are still some bows, ribbons and widgets to adorn this new blog of mine, but I just could not wait one moment longer. I hope you will enjoy the blog, share your own ideas and comments. Please stay a while, say hello and return often.

Celebrate Today & Everyday with Love, Life & Style
